The new release on Alien Jams is from London-based YAWS, titled 'The Hollow Hum', arriving as a follow up to his label debut last year. In opposition to the minimal aesthetic of 'NEW', the latest release takes a more chaotic approach, using noise, frenetic raw sounds and experimentation. Sonically representing the experience of time in various mind states, memories are used as if they were a graphic score. 'The Hollow Hum' navigates a history of phantasmagorical experiences, existing somewhere amidst lucid dream and skittish jam-out.
